In late 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK preparing for a speech at the Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by hundreds of demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to travel that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters slowed down my talk don't think I can make the flight we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an amazing helper".

These exchanges were published on this week alongside more than 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the deceased convicted sex offender.

The release by the House oversight committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets has been able to confirm his identity by matching the dates, occurrences, and locations mentioned.

For instance, Epstein discusses arranging a jet from the UK for the redacted user in the messages, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and delivered the talk at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the inquiry.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as Trump's closest advisers in the lead-up to the presidential election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but stepped down from the administration in 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a documentary about Epstein prior to his passing and allegedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his show recently, he said: "We're going to publish the film, the five-part series, next year - early next year."

But the newly released materials indicate Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the disgraced financier occasionally seeming to act like a aide.

A short time before the conversation in which Epstein seemed to arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the most highly paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are quite capable asst", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Excluded".

Discussing a trip to "AD" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you are taken care of."

UK Politics Discussed in Messages

The published messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing British political matters in that year.

On the same day his speech at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the EU exit issue this day with Nigel, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a reference to Theresa May, the embattled British leader at the period, he continued: "The guys are trying to proceed. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think remaining as much as you can uk. Best-- so people get the commitment of your follow through."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa may remain in power". Bannon answered: "It seems unlikely BUT the people over here have little courage" and noted "Johnson ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; Davis - somebody has to take charge".

May was finally removed in 2019 after withstanding two votes of lack of support in late 2018.

A spokesman for the political party informed the BBC: "Farage has never been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest that encounter occurred.

The Congress will vote soon on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its records related to its probe into Epstein, who died in prison in 2019.

Attention in Epstein's associations with powerful figures was reignited this week after the release of more than 20,000 documents from his archives.

Some of those referenced the former president, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The president was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but says they fell out in the early 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
